Michael J. Winkler At-Large Board Member Retired Executive Vice President, CMO - Hewlett-Packard
Michael Winkler held the position of EVP of Hewlett-Packard's Customer Solutions Group before his retirement, with responsibility for all sales to the company's enterprise, small and medium business, and public sector customers worldwide. He was also HP's Chief Marketing Officer and responsible for leading the company's world-class marketing organization and driving its overall effectiveness and impact on a global scale. Winkler oversaw the activities of Global Marketing, Global Alliances, eBusiness and Total Customer Experience & Quality (TCE).
Winkler was previously responsible for HP Worldwide Operations, which included Supply Chain Operations, eBusiness and Global Alliances, as well as Customer Operations and TCE.
Prior to joining HP, Winkler served as EVP, Global Business Units (GBUs) for Compaq Computer Corporation. While at Compaq, Winkler also served as senior vice president and general manager of the Commercial Personal Computing Group, which offered a broad range of PC offerings -- from the smallest handheld products to the highest-performance workstations.
Before joining Compaq, Winkler served for four years as vice president and general manager of the Computer Systems division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. He also held senior management positions at Xerox Corporation, including vice president positions for the company's worldwide printing systems marketing, production systems and the printing systems business units. He also has served on the board of directors of three Xerox joint venture companies.
Winkler holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. |
