Over the past several years the Marketing and Sales Alignment (MSA) Forum has promoted best practices to assist marketing and sales executives to improve marketing and sales effectiveness. This year the Forum has been divided into three practice areas, demand generation, sales effectiveness and customer messaging. Each practice area ties directly to core issues surrounding marketing and sales alignment. Within this forum AMA will produce a series of thought leadership events (online and offline), best practices and case studies

Now there are three practice areas:

 Sales Effectiveness

 Customer Messaging

Customer Messaging

Most companies’ stated growth goals call for revenue increases that outpace the market.  This won’t happen with companies doing more of the same thing, and then hoping for industry-beating results.  It’s going to require a more proactive demand creation approach that inspires more customers to consider their options, and then positions your company at the front of the customer buying cycle.  The AMA’s Marketing and Sales Alignment Forum seeks to help you create an integrated demand management system that creates greater opportunities for success.

For many companies, all the great marketing strategy in the world won’t help if they fail in executing at the field sales level.  In markets where competition is fierce, it is your sales force that must be properly equipped to build customer solutions, create and communicate value, as well as clearly differentiate between similar competitors.  The AMA’s Marketing and Sales Alignment Forum will help you find innovative ways to improve sales effectiveness and separate your brand from the also-rans.

Foundational to all great marketing and sales programs is the right message.  Today, many companies are stuck with inward-focused, product-centric messages that talk about how great they are, how well their stuff works, and why it’s better than the competition.  Meanwhile, the customer wants to know how you can help them accomplish a goal, solve a problem or meet a need.  The AMA’s Marketing and Sales Alignment Forum will continue to put forward the latest strategies for creating customer messaging that powers more compelling demand generation campaigns and sales effectiveness programs.
