Nonprofits often team up with large corporations to promote their causes, but recently, The Nature Conservancy, an Arlington, Va.-based nonprofit environmental conservation organization,
chose a somewhat unlikely brand partner: Harley-Davidson. On Aug. 26, The Nature Conservancy and Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson launched Renew the Ride, a global initiative to help preserve the environment through Harley-Davidson’s community of riders, dealers and supporters. As part of this initiative, which was held in conjunction with Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary celebration, Harley-Davidson is funding the planting of 110,000 trees in the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil as well as 110 trees in its hometown of Milwaukee.
