Want to succeed in today’s online socialsphere? Start by removing the word “campaign” from your vocabulary.
During a recent AgencyBootcamp seminar on social media sponsored by Izea, a panel of social industry experts discussed what brand marketers are doing that's working and not working in social networks as well as what direction future growth in this segment will take.
Ted Murphy, Izea Founder and CEO, stressed, “Don’t even think of social media and social networking as a campaign. It’s all about relationships and conversations. Brands have got to be engaged on an ongoing basis.” Murphy suggested that social networking is a long-term relationship, not a one-night stand.
