Companies looking to survive this recession are focusing mainly on downsizing and budget issues but this approach may be short sighted. In the process, they may risk losing top talent when the economy recovers.
A recent Deloitte report, Managing Talent in a Turbulent Economy, reveals that half of senior global company executives are worried about losing top talent during the recession while 30% say they are looking to bring in more leaders.
Four in 10 executives are trying to attract critical talent with ‘hard to find' skills while 28% say they will increase the recruitment of ‘experienced hires', according to the survey of 326 multinational executives.
