More than 600 Marketing Academics from throughout the country and abroad gathered in Chicago this past August for one hot weekend of scholarly research and discussion on the subject of sustainability and green initiatives. During three days of track sessions and networking opportunities, attendees of the AMA’s 2009 Summer Marketing Educators’ Conference learned how researchers can bring more focus and scholarly attention to the marketing of organizations as sustainable products or services.
In addition, during the event’s Annual Luncheon, awards were presented for the best track papers and other prestigious honors including the John A. Howard/AMA Doctoral Dissertation Award and the AMA Foundation’s Valuing Diversity and Nonprofit Travel Grant awards.
