The Academic Resource Center (the ARC) is now feeling at home in its new neighborhood. The AMA has given its Website a new look and feel, but more importantly, the underlying technology has changed in a way that will allow us to offer more services in the future. As part of the overall AMA Website, the ARC will benefit from these possibilities.
Despite the changes, some things have not changed. You still access the ARC via the following address
http://www.marketingpower.com/arc
.
In fact, this address is really all you need to know to avail yourself of any AMA electronic service targeting academics. The main purpose of this column is to provide a reminder of how to access key AMA information using the ARC.
Conferences
- You will find information on the next four conferences right on the ARC home page. For other conferences, click on the "Connections" tab.
Journals
- The big four AMA journals;
Journal of Marketing
,
Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing & Public Policy
and
Journal of International Marketing
; are also listed directly on the ARC home page, just below conferences. To learn about other marketing journals, click on the Research menu link, in the blue box to the right of the screen.
SIGs
- You will find anything you need to know about AMA academic Special Interest Groups by clicking on the ARC Connections tab. You can also check on your personal SIG membership by logging on to the site. The login link appears in the upper right hand corner of all MarketingPower pages.
Awards
- The AMA, and especially AMA SIGs, give out many awards including PhD, career, and article awards. To see these awards, click on the Career tab.
