The Collegiate Chapters Division of the American Marketing Association has launched a new initiative entitled the Ambassador Program (AMP). This new program seeks to pair award-winning AMA collegiate chapters with faculty members seeking to launch new AMA collegiate chapters on their campuses or simply revitalize their existing ones. A group of top collegiate chapters has agreed to serve as chapter mentors by answering questions about launching or improving AMA student chapters. The International Headquarters Staff of the Collegiate Division of the AMA will continue to provide specific technical information to chapters as well. The staff may be reached at www.marketingpower.org or by calling 1-800-AMA-1150. However, direct contact with past award-winning chapters with specific hands-on knowledge of how to start and sustain sucessful chapter activities can provide invaluable practical insights. A list of the participating mentor program chapters with contact information is now available on the AMA website.
For more information about the Ambassador Program and how you can get involved, contact Professor Shanita Akintonde at sakintonde@colum.edu or Professor Scott Swanson at Swansosr@uwec.edu.
