The AMA announces a Call for Papers for the Faculty Advisor sessions at its 2009 International Collegiate Conference.  The deadline for submitting electronic submissions for papers is November 17, 2008.

Faculty sessions will consist of presentations and discussions of papers that have been accepted following a DOUBLE-BLIND REVIEW PROCESS.  ACCEPTED PAPERS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE 2009 INTERNATIONAL COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS. 

Papers are now being accepted to the tracks listed below.  Please submit all papers ELECTRONICALLY to Faculty Track Chair, Dr. Vish Iyer.  Abstracts will not be considered for review.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS:

      1. Papers are to be submitted to the track chair via e-mail attachments that are virus checked.
      2. Papers must not exceed 12 double-spaced pages, using a 10 point pitch font, including tables, figures, and references and must be submitted as a “Word” document. 
      3. Please send an electronic version of your competitive paper to Professor Vish Iyer at  vish.iyer@unco.edu
      4. Papers submitted must not have been published, accepted for publication, or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
      5. Each paper should have a separate title page with the track name, author’s name, academic rank, affiliation, address, and phone numbers indicate the contact person.  Please make sure that the title page provides all the information.
      6. At least one of the authors of an accepted paper MUST be a faculty advisor of an AMA student chapter and MUST present the paper in person.  Papers that do not have faculty advisors of AMA student chapters as authors or co-authors will not be published in the proceedings or considered accepted.

CONFERENCE TRACK INFORMATION

MARKETING EDUCATION TRACK:  papers pertaining to any aspect of marketing education are encouraged.  Topics may include measuring student performance, student learning styles in classrooms, experiential learning, technology in classrooms, internships and student projects, or any other topic relating to innovation and advancement of marketing education.

 CURRICULUM ISSUES TRACK:  Papers dealing with any aspects of curriculum development are encouraged.  Topics may include integration of ethics, management of technology and international issues into the marketing curriculum, integration of student interpersonal competency development, development of institutes, centers, and interest/advisory groups, AACSB curriculum standards or any other topic relating to curriculum issues.

 FACULTY DEVELOPMENT ISSUES TRACK:  Papers dealing with any aspects of faculty development are encouraged.  Topics may include faculty development and evaluation, methods of validating more broadly defined scholarly activities, integrating and balancing career obligations in teaching, research and service or any other topic relating to faculty development.

 OUTSTANDING PAPERS:  If selected as an outstanding paper at the conference, special recognition will be made at the conference and this paper may be given special consideration for review and publication in an upcoming issue of JOURNAL FOR THE ADVACEMENT OF MARKETING EDUCATION.

BEST PAPER AT THE CONFERENCE WILL BE AWARDED $500.00
