Fundraising Challenge:

Develop and implement a fundraising activity to support UNICEF’s Tap Project

Why support the AMA/Tap Project Fundraising Challenge:

Clean and plentiful drinking water is a daily privilege millions of people take for granted. Yet more than one billion people are still forced to use unsafe drinking water sources. One in five of these people are children. The lack of clean and accessible drinking water is the second largest killer of children under five years old worldwide, causing 4,100 deaths from water-related diseases every day. UNICEF works in more than 100 countries to provide sources of clean water, adequate sanitation facilities, and hygiene programs, prioritizing service delivery to the poorest children. AMA has partnered with UNICEF to raise awareness and encourage students to become involved with the Tap Project.

Rules:

1. Be creative!  Remember that the goal of fundraising is to maximize your profitability on the project.
2. Develop a fundraising plan that your chapter can implement before March 8, 2010.
3. Execute your fundraiser no later than March 8, 2010.
4. All proceeds from the fundraiser must be RECEIVED BY March 22, 2010 at AMA Headquarters.  Send check or money order (payable to American Marketing Association) to:
