ARC: Connections: SIGs: Marketing and Society: About: Objectives

The Marketing and Society Special Interest Group of the AMA (MASSIG) was established to meet four objectives:

  1. to foster scholarly research on societal (i.e., law, macro, ethics, public policy, etc.) issues, especially among doctoral students and faculty who have recently earned doctorates;
  2. to facilitate dissemination of scholarly research findings;
  3. to promote teaching of societal issues in marketing courses; and
  4. to facilitate interaction about societal issues among academic, business and government sectors.
