PreConference Announcement

CALL FOR PAPERS: “The Future of Service Research and Practice in a Global World: Service Science, Service Logic, and Service Perspectives for Markets, Businesses, Educators and Customers…Quo Vadis?”

The AMA Services Marketing Special Interest Group (SERVSIG) and UK SERVSIG (Academy of Marketing) issue a call for papers which will be presented at a half-day preconference session prior to the 2009 American Marketing Association Summer Educator’s Conference.

The goal of the session is to continue expanding upon our knowledge and best practices regarding Service Science, Management, Engineering and Design. This preconference session is ideal for academics and practitioners to share research, working papers, work-in-progress, and case studies that center upon SSMED topics. Given the primary audience of educators, papers regarding best practices associated with teaching SSMED are highly encouraged. Other topics for consideration include:

  • Service Science
  • Service Logic
  • Service Marketing & Management
  • Service Design
  • Service Operations & Productivity
  • Service Human Resources
  • SSMED in practice
  • Case studies regarding SSMED implementation
  • Other service research areas will also be considered

Papers and topics presented at this preconference session will be considered for presentation at the 23rd Service Conference & Workshop, November 5-7, 2009, Royal Automobile Club, London www.serviceworkshop.org, as well as for possible publication in special issues that are dedicated to the Conference & Workshop as best papers.

Please email abstracts or papers by December 15, 2008 to Mark Rosenbaum (mrosenbaum@niu.edu), AMA SERVSIG Programs Coordinator.

If you need additional information, please contact Mark by email or phone (+1 815.753.7931; +1 630.414.6989).
