With over 40 nations represented at the 2012 Summer Marketing Educators' Conference, participants from outside the United States are strongly encouraged to attend. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted to the AMA via email at mweingarden@ama.org. Cancellations received by 12 July 2013 receive a refund minus a $150 early cancellation fee. Cancellations received after that date will receive a refund minus a $300 late cancellation fee. 

Registrants wishing to cancel may send someone to take their place without penalty if they send a written request with the replacement person’s name to info@ama.org​ at least two weeks prior to the event start date.

No refunds will be given as of 26 July 2013. 

A conference registration may not be shared by two or more individuals. Space is limited and on-site registration cannot be guaranteed. Separate cancellation policies may exist for pre-conference programs, tutorials, and other associated events. Hotel and transportation reservation cancellations must be handled by the individual registrant directly with the hotel, airline and/or other company.​

Conference Co-Chairs
Rebecca J. Slotegraaf (PhD, University of Wisconsin-Madison) is Associate Professor of Marketing and Whirlpool Faculty Fellow at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Her research focuses on marketing strategy and innovation, and more specifically on understanding the extent to which marketing resources, capabilities, and new products can be sources of competitive advantage. Her research has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Organization Science, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Decision Sciences, and International Journal of Research in Marketing, among others. She currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Journal of Product & Innovation Management. Her research has achieved award recognition, including the Jagdish N. Sheth Award for Best Paper in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and the PDMA Research Competition. She was named to the Marketing Science Institute’s Young Scholars list in 2007 and is a recipient of the 2008 Innovative Teaching Award from the Kelley School of Business. ​

David A. Griffith (PhD, Kent State University) is the Department Chairperson and Professor of Marketing in the College of Business and Economics at Lehigh University. His research focuses on international marketing strategy execution, inter-organizational governance and marketing manager decision-making. His research has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Operations Management, and the Journal of Retailing, among others. He was named a “Rising Star” by ScienceWatch.com for the Economics & Business Discipline and has been recognized in numerous studies as one of the most prolific contributors to the field of international marketing/business. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the American Marketing Association’s Journal of International Marketing. He has received numerous awards for teaching excellence, such as the John D. and Dortha J. Withrow Endowed Teacher-Scholar Award (Michigan State University), the Dennis Ching Teaching Excellence Award (University of Hawaii Manoa) and was named an Outstanding Professor (University of Oklahoma). ​
