Elaine Fogel is a well-known blogger, writer, consultant, and marketing thought leader who has worked for, and with, many organizations on marketing strategy, communications tactics, branding, and customer service. From her earlier agency career assignments copywriting Procter & Gamble, Nestlé Carnation and Kraft materials in her native Canada, Elaine’s passion for nonprofit marketing took her to positions as the first national marketing and communications director for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the first communications, sales and marketing director for March of Dimes. Since relocating to Phoenix in late 2004 and launching Solutions Marketing & Consulting, she has worked with many local, regional, and national organizations on a variety of projects.
A professional speaker and trainer, Elaine is a senior contributor to MarketingProfs.com – a weekly publication distributed to over 367,000 readers worldwide - a contributor to the MarketingProfs Daily Fix blog, and was a contributing writer for The Business Journal. Her articles have appeared in several publications including the Stanford Social Innovation Review, Marketing News, Advancing Philanthropy and several association publications.
Elaine chairs the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) Nonprofit Special Interest Group and is currently on the planning committee for the AMA Nonprofit Marketing Conference slated for October in Chicago. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ (AFP) international Communications and Marketing Committee and on the board of the AFP Greater Arizona Chapter. She serves as an officer for a start-up nonprofit called Lead for Good, is a communications committee member for the international organization, AJC, and is also a professional member of the National Speakers Association.
Elaine’s career has included stints as a cookbook author, teacher, singer and television show host. She loves tennis and golf and is an admitted social media and Internet junkie.
