Her blog Diva Marketing, divamarketingblog.com, is considered by Ad Age (Power 150) as one of the most respected marketing blogs in the world.  She is profiled in several books on social media: Naked Conversations, Now Is Gone; Twitterville, Digital Handshake; has been quoted in BusinessWeek, Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, MSNBC, Atlanta Business Chronicle.  Her latest venture is authoring the first business book using Twitter as a platform and distribution channel.

The cut-off date for reservations is March 16, 2010.  After March 16, 2010, reservations will be accepted based on availability and at the prevailing rate.  Reservations must be accompanied by a first night room & tax deposit.  The deposit is refundable if cancellation notice is received by 6:00 pm on the day of arrival. 

Guests checking out early may be assessed an early departure fee.  Upon check in, guests will be asked to verify their departure date.  At that time, scheduled departure dates may be altered.

Conference attire is business casual. Meeting rooms may be cool so you may wish to bring a sweater.

Hotel direction: 4 miles SW

Driving Directions: Turn North on Fleur Dr. and go 3 miles. Turn right on Locust, left on 6th.  Go 1 block to Grand Ave. Turn left on Grand, go 1 block to hotel.

Transportation
The Des Moines Marriott Downtown provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the Des Moines Airport.  Upon your arrival at the airport, please use the courtesy phone in baggage claim to contact the hotel to schedule a pick up.  The shuttle runs approximately every 30 minutes (schedule is subject to change without notice).  Please contact the hotel for your return trip to the airport.

Taxis from the Des Moines Airport to the hotel are approximately $15.00 one-way (rates are subject to change without notice).

Parking
Valet parking is available at the hotel for $17.00 per day, including in & out privileges.
