In today’s ever changing marketplace, businesses need their marketing professionals to understand the basics of marketing now more than ever. Business is rapidly changing and needs have increased competition faster than ever imagined. To help reinforce and focus your teams or your own marketing skills, the AMA is offering this highly interactive program facilitated by an experienced AMA instructor.

What You Will Learn:
The AMA Boot Camp will provide you and your team with applicable, immediately usable marketing skills, including:

  • How to apply marketing fundamentals
  • Learn a framework for a basic marketing plan that supports your organizations strategic plan

Who Should Attend:
This is a basic marketing course, relevant to those who are new to the marketing profession or those who have recently moved into positions with responsibilities such as marketing, sales and sales management, advertising, promotion, brand building, and pricing. 

About the Instructor:
Sybil F. Stershic, president of Quality Service Marketing, is a marketing and organizational  advisor with more than 30 years of experience helping service-based organizations strengthen relationships with customers and employees.  She is the author of the recently released book     on internal marketing, Taking Care of the People Who Matter Most: A Guide to Employee-Customer Care, published by WME Books. 

Active in leadership and professional development, she is a former Chairperson of the American Marketing Association (AMA).  Besides her continued involvement with AMA, Sybil is a member of BoardSource and the International Association of Facilitators.  She writes a business blog on internal marketing & communications and is a contributor to HRGuru.com.

Rates are $99.00 per night, plus applicable taxes (currently 16.75%).

Rates are based on availability.

Reservations must be accompanied by a first night room & tax credit card deposit. The deposit is refundable if cancellation notice is received by 4:00pm hotel time on the day of arrival. Guests checking out early may be assessed an early departure fee.  Upon check-in, please confirm your departure date.

Drive time: 20 minutes
Directions from the airport: Take 281 South (turns into I-35 South). Exit Durango/Frio. Hotel is on your right.

Directions from Austin or Dallas, TX: Take IH-35 South into downtown, exit Durango/Frio. Hotel is on the right.  

Directions from Houston, TX: Take IH-10 West, To 35 North. Take lower level. Exit South Alamo, turn left. South Alamo becomes Frio Street. Hotel is on the corner of Frio and Durango.

Directions from El Paso W: IH-10 East merges into IH-35. Stay on IH-35 South, Exit Durango/Frio. Hotel is on your right.

Transportation
Taxis from the San Antonio International Airport to the hotel are approximately $25.00 one-way.

SATRANS offers shuttle service to & from the San Antonio International Airport. Shuttles depart the airport for the downtown hotels approximately every 15 minutes. Tickets are sold in the airport at the baggage claim area in Terminal 1 & Terminal 2.
