Overview
The ability to effectively develop the elements of a marketing plan is a critical success factor for marketing professionals,business managers and entrepreneurs. AMA is proud to introduce the Advanced Marketing Boot Camp™, a new professional development opportunity that will give you the foundation to create a dynamic marketing plan of your own. During the program you will work with peers in a small group setting under close supervision of an expert in marketing plan development. Each group will create a marketing plan for the case study company specified at the beginning of the session. The Advanced Marketing Boot Camp™ instructor will operate in a consultative mode with each small group to coach them on creating a unique high quality marketing plan for the case study company. On Day Two, each team will present highlights of their plan to the other teams and will receive constructive suggestions, critique, and feedback from the instructor. Upon completion of the Advanced Marketing Boot Camp™, you will have the tools and the confidence to begin doing marketing planning in your own organization. A GREAT MARKETING PLAN CAN PROVIDE ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL SOURCES OF ADVANTAGE OVER COMPETITION REGARDLESS OF YOUR INDUSTRY, PRODUCT, OR SERVICE.

Attend the AMA Advanced Marketing Boot Camp™ and Learn
· What constitutes an effective marketing plan
· How to effectively create and apply a situation analysis; competitor analysis; marketing objectives; market segmentation, target marketing and positioning strategies; marketing mix action plans; and appropriate metrics to monitor plan success.
· Why a marketing plan must effectively fit in with the overall business planning process
At the close of this Boot Camp you will have a complete, example marketing plan that you can use as a process guide when you develop a marketing plan in your own work setting!
Day One
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Participants are given an overview of marketing planning and handed a case assignment to work on in small groups for the remainder of the day. Facilitator constantly rotates among teams to guide progress. Teams are reassembled at mid-day and at the end of the day for progress reports.
Day Two
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Full group is assembled to pose any questions, recap events and review parameters of the deliverable. Participants are then broken out into their groups to put finishing touches on team case. Team presentations, critique and discussion are conducted, followed by instructor’s summary of learning and charge for the future.
