What are RSS Feeds?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a way to receive regularly updated web content from MarketingPower.com and gather it in one place for easy viewing. Instead of constantly checking the site for updated blog content, articles and webcasts, you can subscribe to “feeds” with an RSS aggregator (known as an RSS newsreader) and be constantly updated with the latest information as it is published to the site.
How to Use RSS Feeds
An RSS newsreader sets up an automated delivery of information to your desktop. Many web browsers, including Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari can read and display RSS feeds.

After setting up your newsreader, you will be ready to use MarketingPower’s RSS feeds. To subscribe to one or more feeds:
- Right-click (cntr-click on Mac) on one of the orange XML buttons
- Select “Copy Shortcut” or “Copy Link Location” to copy the location (URL) of the service
- Follow the instructions for your particular newsreader, pasting the location wherever it asks for the location of the service you wish to subscribe to
When are the feeds updated?
MarketingPower feeds are updated as soon as the relevant information is posted to the site. The feeds are never updated before the site since each item in the feeds contains a link to the MarketingPower website for more information.
How often are the feeds updated?
It varies by content category, and also tends to depend on content product cycles. Sometimes feeds may be updated several times a week, and other times, there may be no news to report for several weeks. That’s one reason why using an RSS newsreader to monitor the MarketingPower RSS Feeds makes so much sense; you can let the news come to you rather than having to constantly check for new information yourself.
